Modeling and Control with Uncertainties have been seeing a lot of attention in the recent literature. In this talk, we will detail both theory and applications on modelling and control under chance constraints for uncertain systems.

Xun Shen was born in Yueyang, China. He received the B.S. degree in electricalengineering from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China in 2012, the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan in 2018, the Ph.D. degree in statistical sciences from SOKENDAI, Tokyo, Japan in 2022. Currently, He is an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) with the School of Engineering at Osaka University (QS world university rankings: #68). Meanwhile, he also holds a guest Assistant Professor ship with the Department of Systems and Control Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology (QS world university rankings: #55). From October 2021 to November 2022, he had been a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor withthe Department of Systems and Control Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology (QS worlduniversity rankings: #55).His research interests include chance constrained optimization, data-driven optimal control theory, and their applications in traffic systems and biological systems.
